Mission: The St. Catharines and Area Arts Council works to enhance the cultural life of Niagara and to promote the social and economic value of the arts
Statement of Values
Arts and culture:
- have a fundamental social value, and artistic expression is essential to building lively communities where people want to live, work and play
- have a fundamental economic value and are essential to Niagara’s sustainable future; investment in the arts delivers significant return on investment and is an important economic driver
Primary action is undertaken through partnerships and collaborative relationships with the community and through sharing resources
- All our work expresses a high level of respect for artists and arts organizations and positively acknowledges their contribution
- The Council embraces diversity in all of its forms
- The Council maintains a clear future orientation
