Carousel Players 2010 Summer Arts Camps for ages 5 to 14 years

Carousel Players summer camps attract over 100 students to experience many aspects of the arts at our five day camps. Limited enrolment so please book early. Theatre classes are led by professionals and take place at the Old Courthouse, 101 King Street, 2nd Floor in downtown St. Catharines at the corner of King and James Street and beside Market Square. Classes Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Tuition $175 [including all taxes] for most sessions

DRAMA AND ART WITH MONICA DUFAULT AND LAURIE BOESE
July 5 to 9 for ages 5 to 8 years
Join Monica and Laurie for a unique camp experience that combines art and theatre to give your child a creative experience you won’t find anywhere else. Friends and family are invited on the Friday afternoon to our special “Gallery Gala Performance”, a student showcase of their work.

SHAW FESTIVAL CAMP
July 12 to 16 OR July 19 to 23 for ages 10 to 14 years
An exciting theatre camp for youth to explore and engage their creative talents with guest artist Barbara Worthy. Enjoy exploring the characters and scenes from the play Harvey and perform for family and friends at the end of the week. Includes a day at The Shaw with a tour, a workshop, a matinee, and a post-show chat with actors. Tuition of $210 includes one ticket to the Wednesday matinee performance of Harvey and return transportation to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

ACTING WITH JULIET DUNN
July 26 to 30 for ages 9 to 12 years
A fun-filled week of drama games, improvisation and creativity for children interested in acting. This class fills up quickly so register early.

ACTING WITH LINDSAY PRICE
August 9 to 13 for ages 9 to 12 years
Develop your acting and improv skills with playwright Lindsay Price.
A great opportunity to work on scenes, be creative and let your performing
talents shine. The week will end with a show for family and friends.
You too can find confidence and creativity on stage!

PUPPETRY WITH CARRIE COSTELLO
August 16 to 20 for ages 5 to 8 years
A memorable week of theatre fun. Children will make puppets and learn to manipulate them while developing characters and stories using movement and sound. On the final day of camp parents are invited to see their creations and enjoy their puppet play.
